Shortlist Became “Courte List” Last Week @ C2-MTL Conference in Montreal
Shortlist became “courte list” in French Canada last week for the premiere of the C2-MTL Conference in Montreal.
Sid Lee of Montreal and Cirque du Soleil had an idea to bring a conference that featured Creativity and Commerce together allowing for an integrated event of business and imagination. Over the course of a few days, high level speakers and panelists included Francis Ford Coppola, Ian Schrager, Arianna Huffington, Robert Wong of Google Creative Lab, Michael Eisner, Sakchin Bessette, as well as performances from Cirque du Soleil, Moby and interactive entertainment from Moment Factory.
Fast Company’s hosted a party featuring a sizeable crowd from their 100 Most Creative People issue. Teressa Iezz of Fast Company hosted a dynamic panel which included the Rachel Schechtman, Founder of Story.
Built from the ground up in the newly named Montreal neighborhood, District of Innovation, there were mazes of interactive displays and experiences that excited and entertained.
Francis Ford Coppola said in during his talk, “the avant-garde of today becomes the wall paper of tomorrow. And after this conference, I personally look forward to the seeing a nicely decorated room in the years to come.”
A big thank you to Moment Factory for hosting Shortlist during the trip! Check out photos from the conference and the trip below!

PSFK NYC 2012 Recap
On Friday March 30th I was lucky enough to have a chance to go to the sold out PSFK conference in New York. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m a vet to the PSFK circuit. I’ve been to two saloon events and one conference in San Francisco. My experience to date was good. In all honesty, i actually missed a good amount of the SF event (although Joe Gebbia and his Crit Buns were awesome.) That being said, i was really excited to launch into a full day of PSFK NY 2012…and the outcome was nothing short of spectacular. Congrats to Piers and his team for putting on one hell of an event.
I’ve jotted down some of the highlights as i’m sure you don’t want me to bore you with some lengthy blog write up.
